fettuccine with a kick

This pasta dish is flavorful and relatively healthy. Add chicken or shrimp! Ready in 20 minutes or less!

  • 1 package dry fettuccine
  • 2 red bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream (reduced fat)
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • s + p to taste


  1. Cook pasta in lightly salted water until al dente and drain.
  2. While pasta is cooking, bring large skillet, lightly greased with cooking oil, to medium heat and add garlic, red peppers, onion, and cayenne pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes
  3. Stir in chicken broth and sour cream and simmer until sauce is your desired thickness. Stir in cheese and add salt and pepper towards end.
  4. Toss with fettuccine and plate!
