Potatoes Pommes Recipe

Serve this lovely potato dish to jazz up your traditional meat and potatoes night. Serves 4.

  • 4-6 potatoes
  • 1 tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp. pepper
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • garnish with fresh herbs

 

  1. Peel potatoes and rinse.
  2. Slice potatoes with mandolin or carefully with knife.
  3. In large zip-lock bag, add sliced potatoes,2 tbsp. olive oil, garlic salt and pepper.
  4. Using a nonstick pan, add 1 tbsp. oil and spread evenly.
  5. Layer potatoes in a tight circular motion until you complete full circle. Continue layering but not as tightly, but still in circular motion.
  6. Now, cook over med/low heat for about 15 minutes, but swirl pommes every few minutes to ensure that they are not sticking.
  7. Flip carefully and heat the other side for an additional 10 minutes.
