- 2 dozen clams
- 8 tbsp. olive oil
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1 lemon, sliced in wedges
- a pinch of salt and pepper
- Pry open clam shells and separate into two pieces.
- Remove clams and chop into smaller pieces.
- Clean shells very well and let dry.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Bake shells on baking tray for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix garlic, bread crumbs, olive oil and oregano.
- Add equal amounts of clam pieces to the bottom of the cleaned clam shells.
- Top with filling mixture (about 1 tbsp. or so)
- Serve with fresh lemon wedges.
