How to add a little extra color and texture to your plate. Wonderful and more flavorful parsley alternative!

  • 1 small sauteed pan
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • fresh, washed, moisture removed basil leaves (3 per plate)


  1. Heat oil in pan over medium.
  2. Gently add basil leaves one at a time and leave in oil until both sides are crispy.
  3. Remove from oil and place on paper towel.
  4. Top your favorite seafood, pasta, or poultry dishes with your choice of sauce and finish with leaves.
