Apple Sauce (from scratch)

How to make apple sauce at home! This is a great way to use up extra apples! 


  • 4 apples – peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon


  1. In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Cover, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft.
  3. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.
  4. Serve warm or chilled!
