Chili [from scratch]

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 large can diced tomatoes
- 3 cans dark red kidney beans
- chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- Tabasco Sauce, optional
Instructions
- Brown ground beef with salt and pepper and chopped onion.
- Drain the fat.
- Add tomato sauce, tomatoes and beans, with liquid.
- Stir well.
- Bring to a light boil and then reduce to simmer, then add chili powder.
- Add a little kick with some Tabasco sauce, optional.
- *Serve hot with a little cheese and onion of your choice topping.
