Fudge With Walnuts

fudge with walnuts

My beautiful aunt Patti makes a fudge like this during the holiday season that I can’t get enough of. It’s so soft and creamy! Can’t go wrong with this one!

Fudge With Walnuts

Ingredients
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz.)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (6 oz.)
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Lightly grease a 9-inch square pyrex pan.
  2. Line with a piece of plastic wrap about 18 to 24 inches in length, leaving the ends out to cover the finished fudge.
  3. The ends will help you lift the fudge out of the pan.
  4. Heat the condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla in a double boiler over simmering water.
  5. Stir until the chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  6. Stir in nuts, pour into the prepared pan.
  7. Spread gently then cover lightly with the ends of the plastic wrap.
  8. Chill until firm.
  9. Lift out of the pan and cut into small squares.
