Here’s a simple homemade hollandaise recipe for your next Eggs Benedict breakfast!

Hollandaise Sauce

Serves: 2

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt

  1. Place the water, egg yolks and butter in a suace pan over low heat.
  2. Stir constantly and add the lemon juice, salt, sugar and cayenne.
  3. Sauce will thicken and settle even after it is removed from heat.
