It’s that time of year again! Hot stew on a chilly evening.
Simple Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 1lb. beef of your choice, cubed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 10 chopped baby carrots or two carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, shredded
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp. rosemary
- 1 tsp. cayenne
- 1 beef bullion cube
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- ½ cup flour
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef, onions, salt and garlic over medium heat for approximately 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the flour and stir until blended.
- Add the liquids, bullion, spices, bay leaf and potatoes.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce to a simmer for 45 minutes.
- Add the celery and carrots.
- Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Ready to serve!
