Simple Prime Rib

Sometimes the the best recipes turn out to be the easiest to make!
  • 7-10 lb. prim rib roast
  • 6-10 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tbsp. sea salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. rosemary or thyme, optional
  1. Preheat the oven to about 475F.
  2. Rub down the roast with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Cut approx. 20 small slits in the roast and rub down with garlic, shove a little into the slits for extra flavor.
  4. Place roast on a roasting pan, fat side up.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Reduce temperature to 375F.
  7. Bake for an additional hour. (Monitor interior temperature for best results, should be 160F inside roast for med. rare.)
  8. Remove from oven and stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
