  • 5-6 slices day-old french bread
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 4 eggs, whisked
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 vanilla bean, seeds
  • ½ cup raisins optional
  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Break the bread into bite-sized chunks.
  3. Drizzle butter on top of bread.
  4. Grab a casserole dish and place bread inside.
  5. Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, bean/seeds, and raisins.
  6. Pour over the bread, stir a bit.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes uncovered.
