Simple pairing suggestion: Serve with original Saltine crackers or a warm crusty bread. Perfect for those cold days or when you have a sick little one to care for.
  • 1 lb white meat chicken, cut into chunks
  • 12 baby carrots, chopped
  • ½ cup white onion, chopped
  • ¾ cup uncooked barley
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  1. Add all of the ingredients (except the carrots) to your slow cooker.
  2. Cover.
  3. Walk away for 7 hours.
  4. Add the carrots.
  5. Walk away for another hour.
  6. Serve hot!
