Simple Mexican Rice

Mexican rice that you can make using items found in your kitchen!
Ingredients
3 tbsp. canola oil
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ chopped white onion (small onion)
6 oz. tomato sauce
2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
Add the veggie oil and the rice to a medium sized pan.
Heat over low for 2-3 minutes to get a slight browning to the rice.
Add the onion and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Next, add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or until rice has cooked.
Notes
This recipe serves about 4 helpings, so double up for more people. :)
