Got sushi on the brain? Try this light and simple recipe as an appetizer or main course star! Great salad topper too! Serves 2!

  • 2, 6 oz sushi grade tuna steaks.
  • 1/4 cup black and/or white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. cracked pepper
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • see sesame soy dipping sauce for drizzle
  • wasabi paste  (optional)

 

  1. Clean and pat dry tuna steaks.
  2. Heat oil in pan over high heat.
  3. Cover tuna in salt and pepper, and then sesame seeds.
  4. Sear for 30 seconds each side (depending on how rare you prefer).
  5. Slice tuna into 1/2-1″ thick strips.
