Got sushi on the brain? Try this light and simple recipe as an appetizer or main course star! Great salad topper too! Serves 2!
- 2, 6 oz sushi grade tuna steaks.
- 1/4 cup black and/or white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. cracked pepper
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- see sesame soy dipping sauce for drizzle
- wasabi paste (optional)
- Clean and pat dry tuna steaks.
- Heat oil in pan over high heat.
- Cover tuna in salt and pepper, and then sesame seeds.
- Sear for 30 seconds each side (depending on how rare you prefer).
- Slice tuna into 1/2-1″ thick strips.
