Simple Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 carrot, sliced and diced
- 4 clove garlic, crushed
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ½ cup celery, diced
- ½ cup green pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- ¾ cup water
- ¼ cup dry red wine
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Saute sausage until cooked through.
- Drain fat and add mushrooms, carrots, garlic, onion, celery and green pepper in oil.
- Cooke until veggies are finished and sausage is browned.
- Add tomato sauce, water, red wine, sugar and Italian seasoning.
- Serve over your favorite pasta.
