Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Perfect for a special dessert of even a Valentine's Day gift!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. or one crate of fresh strawberries
- 8-10 oz. chocolate milk or dark chocolate of your choice
- 1 tbsp. butter, softened
- ¼ cup white chocolate for drizzling
- sprinkles or crushed nuts for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries and dry with paper towels. Make sure to remove all water before dipping in chocolate.
- Melt the chocolate in 20 second increments until it is creamy and smooth. Because chocolate burns so easily, this is an important step.
- Mix in the butter until it has melted.
- Stir.
- Dip the strawberry and place on a sheet of wax paper.
- Once the chocolate coat has dried, melt the white chocolate in the microwave and drizzle over the top in a side to side motion.
- Return berries to the wax paper, refrigerate covered.
